Cladding - important notice for leaseholders who let out their flat/use for business purposes

You will shortly be receiving a letter from Parkgate Aspen attaching a declaration form that must be completed by every leaseholder who uses their flat ‘for financial gain’ - eg, if it is let-out or used for their own business purposes. Please read on if you are such a leaseholder at Canary Riverside. No action is required if you are the resident-owner of a single flat.

The declaration is an important part of Canary Riverside’s application for Government funding to help cover the cost of the cladding remediation works.

Failure to return the form could detrimentally affect our eligibility for funds from the Building Safety Fund and increase the costs funded through your service charge.

A declaration must be completed by each co-owner, and for each flat owned. Please see the cladding page for an example of the declaration form.

[NB working from home, eg, because of covid restrictions, does not constitute ‘business purposes’. If you run your business from your home and your flat is therefore your business premises you will need to complete a declaration].
