Community Development Panel for the Isle of Dogs and South Poplar
/The Regeneration Team and Planning Department at Tower Hamlets are in the process of setting up a Community Development Panel (CDP) for the Isle of Dogs and South Poplar OAPF area.
The CDP is designed create more opportunity for residents to have an increased say and influence the planning and design of new development in the area. The intention is that the CDP will reflect the diversity of Isle of Dogs and South Poplar, both geographically, and in terms of age, ethnicity, and employment. The CDP will meet monthly to discuss and comment on development proposals to ensure they reflect local needs, as well as comment on other initiatives being undertaken as part of the OAPF Delivery Plan, and other Council initiatives in the area. Tower Hamlets have procured Frame Projects to manage the CDP, so it can sit independently from the Council.
They are planning to undertake recruitment for members from the 22nd January to 19th February 2021, and have produced the attached flyer to provide information on the CDP, including what it is trying to achieve, details of how it will be run, and how to get involved and what commitment would be required for members.
If you would like to be involved in shaping your local community please check the flyer and apply to join the CDP.
