Stopcocks, gas and electrical mains switches
We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the location of the gas, electricity and water supplies into your apartment.
Water
The on-off levers for the four supplies of water (hot, cold, chilled and chilled return) are located in the ceiling panel immediately outside your front door. The panel can be opened using a large flat-head screwdriver. Each water service is clearly identified on the pipework.
Hot water is marked 'HWS', with red band, and cold water is marked 'CWS' with a blue band. These valves are closed when the handle is at 90 degrees to the pipe. Please ask your concierge or security for assistance if required.
If you plan to be away for extended periods of time (>30 days) it is recommended that you turn off the water supplies to your apartment, in order to minimise the risk of leaks occurring in your absence. Your concierge can assist.

Gas
Shut-off access to gas hobs is usually located by removing the kitchen drawers under the gas hob.
Electrical
Mains switch and circuit breakers can be found in a metal cabinet usually located in a hall cupboard. You should find a schedule detailing what each circuit breaker controls in the inside of the cabinet door.
